Your FREE 7 Week Introduction to Entrepreneurship Workshop Series starts today! * Network & Learn with diverse particpants*

March 17, 2018

Thank you all for your expressed interest and support of DC Community Carrot's 7 Week Introduction Entrepreneurship Workshop Series. Carrot's doors are open and today's orientation was informative! I look forward with excitement, to next Saturday's participant turn out and start of the seven week course curriculum. This blog will give a brief recap of the orientation and get you all excited to come back next week.

Mr. John Woodard meticulously put together a great Introduction to Entrepreneurship Workshop course. A Syllabus can be emailed to anyone interested - kelvin@dccommunitycarrot.org. Today, we set expectations for the seven weeks and post completion. We have many interactive mini projects, as part of the work shop.

● Basic training on "how to start a business"
● Skill-building workshops on a range of business topics

● One-on-one coaching and mentoring
● A Certificate of Completion from Carrot
● Ongoing support to roll-out and implement your business plan
AND, after receiving your Certificate and as alumni of the program, you'll be eligible to receive:
● Ongoing, specialized training regarding the best use of social media, legal issues, taxes, etc.

● Networking opportunities so you can make "business" friends, learn from successful entrepreneurs, expand business opportunities and much more!

Diving deeper into the benefits of this FREE work shop: The networking opportunity will be beneficial. For example, networking with established business owners such as Harry Alford, may led to a venture capital evaluating your established business for investment. Or networking with like minded aspiring entrepreneurs will perhaps answer questions that you did not know should be asked along your road to entrepreneurial success.

Today's orientation was a big success, if you ask me. Antonio is an aspiring entrepreneur participant. He was made aware of DC Community Carrot's work shop through DSLBD's Katherine Mareand. Antonio is a graduate of a partner program named Aspire. He gave great feedback of what he experienced today. "I will definitely be here next week", he pretty much said my entire blogs intent in that one sentence.
